Just as Jesus was beginning his ministry, John the Baptist was baptizing people in the Jordan River. The people who came to him confessed their sins and were baptized. They came away from this experience with a renewed sense of Gods love and grace. The question we have to ask ourselves is, Why did Jesus come? We can understand everyone else who comes, but why would the Son of God, whose life is the perfect revelation of God ... why does he come to John for baptism? In this sermon, Rev Wes Denyer explores this question and in doing so asks if we may learn something about what being a baptized Christian could mean for us.
