At Rosedale Presbyterian Church, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone can come as they are. Whether you're looking to connect with others, explore your faith, or simply find a sense of belonging, you're in the right place.

We understand that everyone's journey is unique, and we're here to support and walk alongside you, no matter where you are on your path. Together, we can continue to grow and evolve as a community, embracing our differences and celebrating the diversity that makes us stronger.

Come join us and be a part of something truly special. We can't wait to meet you!

Our Mission

At Rosedale, we embrace the call to be a vibrant and growing community of faith, filled with joy and generosity as we share the blessings of the Christian life. Our congregation is a beautiful tapestry of diverse backgrounds. While many of our members come from the immediate Rosedale area, we are delighted to welcome children and grandchildren of founding families from North Toronto, Etobicoke, and Scarborough. We also extend our warm greetings to those who travel from further afield, including Ajax and Oshawa.

Rosedale has long served as a spiritual home for former missionaries, and many of our past ministers and members have held esteemed leadership roles at Knox College in Toronto and the Presbyterian College in Montreal. Our community has contributed several moderators, including the first layperson of the Presbyterian Church in Canada and one of its earliest ordained women ministers. Many of our members are actively involved in national church committees and play vital roles in organizations such as the Canadian Council of Churches and the Ecumenical Justice Commissions, as well as initiatives in social housing like Portland Place and Evangel Hall.

Since our founding in the early 20th century, Rosedale has shown a deep commitment to mission work. Our current outreach projects reflect this dedication, including our participation in the Out of the Cold Program at St. Andrew's (providing meals and knitted items), CornShare, the Malawi Mosquito Net Project, and Satellite 7 (a Christian radio initiative in the Middle East). We also support the national “Presbyterians Sharing” program and respond to emergency appeals from the Presbyterian World Service and Development agency.

Our Vision

We aspire to be a vibrant, growing community of faith, embodying a glad and generous heart that shares the blessings of the Christian life.

Statement of Inclusion

Rosedale Presbyterian Church warmly welcomes and fully includes individuals of all ages, ethnicities, nationalities, physical and developmental abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions, including 2SLGBTQI+, within our worship community.

Our shared Land

As we gather together, we acknowledge this sacred land on which Rosedale Presbyterian Church resides and worships, known in the Anishinaabe language as 'Tkaronto.' This land has been a site of human activity for thousands of years and is the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. It is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. We also recognize that this territory is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit. We honour the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Iroquois Confederacy and the Confederacy of the Ojibwe and allied nations to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. We are grateful to have the opportunity to worship on this land today, which continues to be a meeting place for many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island.
