VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There are so many wonderful and fulfilling ways to get involved at Rosedale Presbyterian Church (RPC)! God has uniquely gifted each one of us with various skills, talents, and abilities that can all be utilized to effectively build his kingdom in this world around us. You can choose to join a ministry that aligns with your particular interests, such as working with the hospitality team serving as an usher or a friendly greeter at the door to warmly welcome attendees, or as a host of a Coffee Hour.

In Search of Coffee Hour Hosts

On Sundays, our dedicated Coffee Hour Volunteers will provide a variety of small snacks, along with coffee and tea, to members of the congregation in the Great Hall. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get to know other people in our community, fostering connections and friendships! An important role for these volunteers is to actively encourage more members of the congregation to participate in this enjoyable Coffee Hour experience. Volunteers are responsible for setting out dishes and cutlery, arranging snacks, preparing the coffee and tea, cleaning up the room after the event, putting away any leftover items, and taking care of the dishes. Your support and participation help make this gathering a welcoming and warm experience for all.

We invite you to host a Sunday coffee hour! There are many opportunities to host in the next several weeks, so you are encouraged to sign up either on your own or jointly with another person. This is a great way to participate and help build our community. There are sign up sheets in the Great Hall, or you can contact the office (office@rpcc.ca) with dates you are available.

USHERS AND GREETER PROGRAM

Our hospitality team serves as the very first point of contact that many individuals have with our Church community. This program actively seeks reliable, conscientious, energetic, caring, and dedicated individuals who are willing to serve and contribute positively to our mission. As one of our largest volunteer programs, it offers numerous opportunities for leadership, service, and the practice of hospitality. Greeters typically serve once a month during either the early or late service, and we have a practice of meeting informally as the need arises to discuss any important matters. We warmly welcome anyone who feels called to join our team and contribute to our welcoming atmosphere!

SUNDAY SCHOOL

The Sunday School program is available for children and youth from age 4 through Grade 8! Our dedicated teachers play a crucial role in the spiritual development of young people, guiding them in their understanding of faith and values. You help teach important Bible lessons and run engaging activities that capture the interest of the students and encourage their participation. Sunday School takes place during the worship service, providing a meaningful experience for both children and their families.
