BAPTISMS

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Matthew 28:19–20 (NRSV)

Rosedale Presbyterian Church is delighted to share in your celebration of new life through the Sacrament of Baptism, performed during our regular Sunday morning worship service.

The Sacrament of Baptism is a joyful celebration of life and a moment to reflect on the boundless love and forgiveness of God. It is a symbol of the Christian hope we all share—a divine promise that each child and adult is precious and valuable in the eyes of God. Baptism signifies God's desire for everyone to grow in spiritual health and maturity, so they may experience the fullness of Christian life that God intends for each of us.

While Baptism at Rosedale Presbyterian Church is primarily offered to members of our congregation, we do consider requests from non-members on a case-by-case basis, with the approval of Session. This sacred ceremony is also an opportunity for parents to affirm their wish for their family to be part of the church's community life, receiving its support and compassion. We warmly invite parents who bring their children for Baptism, as well as adults seeking Baptism, to reaffirm their own faith in God, so they can share the joy and love of Christ, along with the warmth and fellowship of the church.
